Profile Image & Display Name

The Overview page shows your current profile image, your Tissimo tier badge, and your display name — giving you a quick snapshot of how students see you on the platform.

Your Profile Image

Your profile image is visible to students when they browse teacher profiles, view your courses, or check their lesson history. Clicking on your profile image on the Overview page takes you directly to your profile page, so you can see exactly how it appears to prospective students. You can also add a profile video or a profile cover image to further personalise your listing.

Changing Your Display Name

To update your display name:

1. Go to Account Settings.
2. Select the My Info section.
3. Update your first and last name, choose whether your display name shows your Full name or Last initial, and save your changes.

Tips for a Strong Profile Image

• Use a clear, high-quality photo of yourself — not a logo or avatar.
• Choose a well-lit, professional-looking image. Students are more likely to book lessons with teachers who look approachable and credible.
• Avoid distracting backgrounds. A neutral or music-related backdrop works well.
• To check how your full profile looks to students, use Previewing Profile as Student.
