Previewing Your Profile as a Student
Before a student sees your profile, you should see it the same way they will. Tissimo's profile preview lets you check everything — your bio, courses, availability calendar, intro video, and cover image — exactly as it appears to a student browsing the marketplace.
Finding the Preview Button
- Go to your Teacher Dashboard and open your Profile page.
- In the top-right corner of the editing page, click View profile as student.
What the Preview Shows
The preview renders your profile exactly as a logged-in student would see it, including:
- Cover image and profile photo — check they are not cropped awkwardly. See adding a profile cover image for guidance.
- Headline and bio — read them as a first-time visitor would.
- Intro video — confirm it plays and the thumbnail looks good. See adding a profile video for tips.
- Courses listed — verify titles, prices, and descriptions are correct. See active courses for details on managing your course listing.
- Availability calendar — confirm it reflects your actual schedule.
- Education and experience section — check entries are complete and in the right order.
- Languages and location — confirm they display correctly.
- Reviews — see how your reviews section appears (if you have any). Read more about responding to student reviews.
What the Preview Does Not Show
The preview is read-only and for your eyes only. It does not appear in search results. Changes you have made but not yet saved still appear in the preview — remember to click Save before leaving the page, or your edits will be lost.
Returning to Edit Mode
When you are done reviewing, click the View profile as teacher button — the same toggle you used to open the preview. You will return to editing mode with all your current content intact, ready to make any adjustments you noticed during the preview.
Tips for a Thorough Preview Check
- Read your bio aloud to catch awkward phrasing.
- Play your intro video all the way through to check audio and visual quality.
- Tap through the preview on a mobile device if possible — many students browse on phones.
- Click the booking button to confirm it shows the correct course options and calendar.
- Review your profile creation guide to ensure all sections are complete.
