Your Tissimo profile is the first thing students see when they are deciding whether to book a lesson with you. A complete, professional, and well-written profile significantly increases your chances of attracting new students.

General Guidelines

• Use only acceptable language — no profanity, hate speech, or discrimination of any kind.
• Photos must be professional in nature and high quality.
• Do not include overly personal or unprofessional content anywhere on your profile.

Profile Sections

Short Bio

A brief introduction about yourself. This does not have to be strictly formal, but avoid sharing intimately personal details. Focus on your musical background and teaching approach.

About Me

A longer description that expands on your short bio. This is your opportunity to let prospective students learn more about you as a teacher — your experience, teaching philosophy, instruments you specialise in, and the types of students you work best with.

Profile Image and Display Name

Your profile photo and display name form the first impression students have of you. See profile image and display name for guidelines on choosing an appropriate photo and how to update both.

Profile Video

Your profile video is one of the most powerful tools for converting profile visitors into bookings. For a step-by-step guide on uploading your video, see adding a profile video. Guidelines:

• Minimum length: 30 seconds. Maximum length: 5 minutes.
• You must appear in the video.
• Follow Tissimo's code of conduct — no hate speech, profanity, or inappropriate content.
• The background should be relevant and professional (e.g., your music room or instrument).
• Audio must be clear and easy to understand.

Teaching Policies

Your policies set expectations for students before they book. Be clear and specific:

• Cancellation policy — specify how far in advance a student must cancel to avoid a penalty. You can manage these in Teaching Policies settings.
• Rescheduling policy — specify the cutoff time for rescheduling without penalty.
• Additional policies — any other requirements specific to your teaching, such as daily practice expectations, required materials, or prerequisites.
