Course Management Dashboard Overview
Your Course Management dashboard is the home base for everything you teach on Tissimo. From one page you can review your overall teaching stats, browse your active, archived, and private courses, open any course to manage it, and start a brand-new course.
Reaching your dashboard
Sign in to your teacher account and open the Course Management page. It opens showing your active courses along with a stats summary at the top.
Course tabs: Active, Archived, and Private
Just below the stats you'll find tabs that switch between your course lists:
- Active courses — courses that are currently live and available for booking. This is the default view.
- Archived courses — courses you have archived, plus any that are pending archival. See Review Archived Courses for what you can do here.
- Private courses — a tab that appears only if you have private (unpublished) courses waiting to be set up. Opening one takes you to its setup rather than the standard detail view.
Your course stats
The boxes across the top of the dashboard summarize your teaching at a glance:
- Courses — the total number of courses you have, across all states.
- Active courses — how many active courses you currently have, shown against the maximum your account allows.
- Students taught — the total number of students you have taught.
- Time taught — your cumulative teaching time across all courses.
For more on these figures, see View Courses Stats.
What each course card shows
Every course in a tab is represented by a card. At a glance a card shows:
- Course image and an instrument icon for the subject.
- Star rating — your average review score, shown once the course has ratings.
- Course title.
- Student count and the profile photos of a few enrolled students.
- Hour price — the price for one hour of lessons.
- Edit pencil — a shortcut into the course editor, shown only for courses that are not archived.
- Pending archival label — appears on cards for courses that are in the process of being archived.
Click anywhere on a card to open it. For a closer look at cards, see Course Cards.
Opening a course
Selecting an active or archived course opens its Course Detail view — a single page (there are no separate sub-tabs) that brings together everything about that course:
- Students section — your student and inactive counts, student photos, and an Accept new students toggle to open or close the course to new enrollments without archiving it.
- Intro video — your course video, if you've added one.
- Stats — hours taught, your rating and review count, and trial totals (trials, successful, and refunded).
- Course image, lesson durations, and description.
- Reviews — student ratings and written feedback, which you can reply to.
Two actions sit alongside these details for active courses:
- Edit — jump into the course editor to update its details. See Edit Courses and Editing an Existing Course.
- Archive — retire the course. You'll be asked to type the course title to confirm. See Archive Courses.
For a full walkthrough of this page, see Course Detail. To learn what keeps a course visible for booking, see Active Courses.
Creating a new course
To add a course, click Create new on the dashboard. This opens the course creation wizard, where you set the course title, description, and instrument; choose the price, lesson durations, and levels; add tags; and upload a video and course image. Step-by-step guidance is in Create Courses. Not sure what a course is? Read What is a Course?.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I have more than one active course for the same instrument?
No. You can only have one active course per instrument. If you already have an active course for an instrument, Tissimo won't let you create another one for it — you'll see "You already have an active course for this instrument." A single course can, however, cover multiple levels and offer several lesson-duration options.
Can I change a course's price from the dashboard?
The hourly price is set when you create the course and is locked afterward — it can't be changed from the course editor or the dashboard. If you need a different price, archive the course and create a new one. See Edit Courses for the full list of what can and cannot be edited.
How do I create a new course?
Click Create new on the dashboard, or go straight to course creation, and follow the setup steps. Full details are in Create Courses.
