Removing a Course
Tissimo supports removing a course from the platform, but the process follows a structured wind-down to protect students who have already purchased hours. For background on how courses work, see What Is a Course.
How the Removal Process Works
Step 1 — Mark the Course for Archival
From your Course Management page, locate the course you want to remove and click Archive. This moves the course into a pending archival state.
Step 2 — Pending State Restrictions
While a course is pending archival:
- New students cannot enroll
- Existing students cannot purchase additional hours
- Students who have a remaining hour balance can continue booking lessons until their balance reaches zero
Step 3 — Full Archival
The course moves to fully archived status automatically when either of the following occurs:
- All enrolled students have used up their remaining balance, or
- One year has passed since the course was marked for archival — whichever comes first
Step 4 — Confirmation Email
You will receive an email confirmation once the course has been fully archived.
Reviewing Archived Courses
You can still view archived and pending-archival courses from the Course Management page at any time. See Review Archived Courses for details on what's available after archival.
Important Notes
- Archiving a course cannot be undone — if you want to pause enrollment temporarily without removing the course, use the Accept New Students toggle on the course detail page instead
- Courses with active enrolled students will not be removed immediately regardless of the timeline
- Students with a remaining balance may wish to transfer their balance to another course before the archival completes
- To create a replacement course, visit Create Course. For an overview of all your active offerings, go to Active Courses.
