One-Time vs Recurring Lessons — What's the Difference?

When booking lessons on Tissimo, you can choose between one-time lessons and recurring lessons. Understanding the difference helps you pick the right format for your goals and schedule.

One-Time Lessons

A one-time lesson is a single session booked individually. It is ideal if you:

• Want to try out a teacher before committing to a regular schedule.
• Need to work on a specific piece or problem for a one-off session.
• Have an irregular schedule and cannot commit to a recurring time slot.

One-time lessons are charged at the time of booking. If you decide you enjoy the teacher, you can easily transition to recurring lessons afterward.

Recurring Lessons

Recurring lessons are a regular weekly schedule with your teacher. They are ideal if you:

• Want to make consistent progress with a structured curriculum.
• Prefer the routine of learning at the same time each week.
• Are working toward a performance, exam, or long-term goal.

Lessons in the next 30 days are scheduled and charged when you set up the series; after that, each upcoming lesson is billed automatically from your course credits as it comes within 30 days. If you enable auto-refill, your credit balance is topped up automatically when it runs low, so you do not need to manually pay each week — otherwise lessons pause until you add more credits.
