Managing Your Login Methods
Your Tissimo account is tied to a single email address, and you can sign in to it in more than one way. This article explains the sign-in methods Tissimo supports, how they all connect to the same account, how to add a password if you signed up with Google or a sign-in link, and how to change your password.
How you can sign in
Tissimo offers three ways to sign in on the login page:
- Email and password — enter the email and password you set when you created your account.
- Continue with Google — sign in with the Google account that uses your Tissimo email address. Google is the only third-party sign-in provider offered on the login page.
- Sign in without password — click Sign in without password, enter your email, and Tissimo emails you a one-time sign-in link. Open the link to sign in — no password needed.
For step-by-step instructions on each option, see Login with email and password and Login with a third-party provider. For an overview, see Login Methods.
One account, one email
Whichever method you use, you are signing in to the same account as long as it uses the same email address. Your email is your account identity. There is no separate “login methods” screen to link or unlink providers, and you never need to keep multiple providers connected — you simply sign in with whichever method works for you.
This also means the different methods can complement each other. For example, if you signed up with Google, you can add a Tissimo password so you can also sign in with email and password. Adding a password does not remove your ability to keep using Google.
Add a password to a Google account
If you signed up with Google and want to also be able to sign in with a password, you can create one from your settings:
- Go to Settings > Password and Security.
- Next to Create account password, click Create password.
- Verify it’s you when prompted (by continuing with Google, and by entering your authentication-app code if you have multi-factor authentication turned on).
- In the Create Password window, enter and confirm your new password, then click Save.
Your password must be at least 8 characters and include an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, and one of these special characters: @$!%*#?& . Once saved, you can sign in with either Google or your email and password.
Add a password to a sign-in link account
If your account was created with an email sign-in link (a “magic link”), there is no current password to verify, so Tissimo sends you a fresh link to set one:
- Go to Settings > Password and Security.
- Next to Create account password, click Create password.
- In the Set a password window, click Send link. Tissimo emails a one-time link to your address.
- Open the email and click the link. It expires in 1 hour.
- On the Set your password page, enter and confirm your new password, then click Set password.
After that, you can sign in to Tissimo with your email and password alongside your sign-in link.
Change your password
If you already have a password and want to update it:
- Go to Settings > Password and Security.
- Next to Password, click Change.
- Verify it’s you when prompted (re-enter your credentials, and your authentication-app code if you use multi-factor authentication).
- In the Enter New Password window, type your current password, then enter and confirm your new password and click Save.
If you’ve forgotten your password and can’t sign in, use the Forgot password? link on the login page instead — see Reset your password.
Switching how you sign in
Tissimo doesn’t use a “link” or “unlink” control for sign-in providers, so there’s nothing to connect or disconnect. Instead, you switch methods by using a different option that’s tied to your email:
- To move from Google to a password, add a Tissimo password using the steps above, then sign in with your email and password.
- To keep using Google, just choose Continue with Google each time — no password is required.
- To use a sign-in link, choose Sign in without password on the login page.
Facebook and Apple are not offered as sign-in methods on Tissimo. Google is the only third-party provider available. Note that Tissimo can’t reset the password for a Google account — manage that directly with Google.
