Setting a Weekly Teaching Goal

Setting a weekly teaching goal helps you stay on track and build a consistent schedule. Tissimo's dashboard lets you set an hour target and track your progress throughout each week with visual indicators.

How to Set Your Goal

  1. Go to your teacher dashboard.
  2. Find the My weekly teaching goal section — it appears on your dashboard home and in your Settings under Teaching Policies.
  3. Select the number of teaching hours you want to hit each week (from 5 to 40 hours).
  4. Your goal is saved automatically.

Once set, your dashboard will display a progress indicator showing how close you are to your weekly target.

Why Set a Weekly Goal

A weekly target gives your teaching structure and helps you measure growth over time. Here is why it matters:

  • Consistency — students prefer teachers with reliable availability. A steady schedule builds trust and encourages recurring bookings.
  • Motivation — seeing your progress toward a concrete goal keeps you engaged and focused.
  • Tier advancement — more teaching hours help you climb the tier system, increasing your take-home pay.
  • Income planning — knowing your weekly target helps you estimate monthly earnings and plan accordingly.

Tracking Your Progress

Your dashboard shows real-time progress toward your weekly goal. As you complete lessons throughout the week, the visual indicator updates automatically. At the end of each week, you can see whether you met your target.

Tips for Setting Realistic Goals

  • Start with a modest goal and increase it as you build your student base.
  • Factor in preparation time, not just lesson time, when choosing your target.
  • Make sure your availability calendar has enough open slots to realistically hit your goal.
  • Review your goal monthly and adjust based on demand and your personal schedule.
