How Refunds Work on Tissimo

We want every lesson to be a great experience. When things do not go as planned, Tissimo has clear refund policies in place. How your refund is handled depends on the type of lesson and the timing of the cancellation.

Trial Lesson Satisfaction Guarantee

Your first lesson with a new teacher is considered a trial. If you are not satisfied with the trial experience, you may be eligible for a refund under Tissimo's Satisfaction Guarantee. This helps you explore teachers without risk.

Cancellation-Based Refunds

If you cancel a lesson, the refund you receive depends on how far in advance you cancel:

  • Early cancellation — cancelling before the teacher's cancellation window qualifies for a full refund.
  • Late cancellation — cancelling within the teacher's cancellation window means the lesson is still charged and no refund is issued.
  • No-show — if you miss a lesson without cancelling, a refund is generally not available.

Where Does the Refund Go?

Refunds can be issued in two ways:

  • Course balance — hours may be credited back to your course balance so you can use them for future lessons with the same teacher.
  • Payment method — in some cases, the refund is returned to the original payment method (credit card, debit card, etc.). Processing times vary by your bank.

Trial vs Regular Lesson Refunds

Trial lessons and regular lessons follow different refund rules. Trial lessons benefit from the Satisfaction Guarantee, while regular lessons follow the standard cancellation policy. Always check the specific terms before booking.

How to Request a Refund

If you believe you are eligible for a refund, contact Tissimo support with your lesson details. Include the lesson date, teacher name, and reason for the request. The support team will review your case and respond promptly.
