Start of Conversation

When a new student books a trial lesson with you, Tissimo automatically creates a conversation thread in your Messages page. This opens a channel of communication between you and the student right away.

Prospective Student Messaging

You can control whether students can message you before they book a lesson. This is configured under Account Settings in the Teaching Policies section.

• Enabled (default): New prospective students can message you to ask questions before booking their first lesson.
• Disabled: Students cannot message you until they have booked a trial lesson.

How to Update This Setting

1. Go to Account Settings.
2. Navigate to the Teaching Policies section.
3. Toggle the Prospective Student Messaging setting on or off.
4. Save your changes.

Which Setting Is Right for You?

• Enable it if you want to answer questions and build rapport before committing to a trial lesson — this can increase booking conversions.
• Disable it if you prefer to keep conversations focused on students who have already committed by booking.
